Award-winning director, choreographer, performer, and arts educator — and a private acting, dance, and vocal coach since 1999.
Noel Britton-Lvovsky is an award-winning director, choreographer, performer, and arts educator whose professional career has spanned more than 25 years. Her work has earned numerous honors, including the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Director of a Musical and multiple Best Direction, Choreography, Ensemble, and Musical awards from the Los Angeles Theatre League. A career highlight was performing for Stephen Schwartz at ASCAP’s New Musical Theatre Competition.
Training & the stage
Noel began her training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, studying acting at Circle in the Square Theatre School, and continued her professional training at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. An accomplished performer, she has appeared on stages throughout the United States — including an extraordinary 502 performances with the acclaimed American Girl Revue. Her stage credits include Catherine in The Heiress (earning “Best Actress” recognition from the Los Angeles Theatre League alongside nominee Debbie Reynolds), the title role in Laura, and leading roles in Hedda Gabler, Guys and Dolls, and A Chorus Line. She has been a featured soloist for the Pacific Symphony Orchestra’s Benefit Gala, a lead vocalist for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and has shared the stage with Annette Bening, Peter Gallagher, Shirley Jones, and Bryan Cranston in Los Angeles productions. Her television and film credits include starring in Operation Belvis Bash alongside Corey Feldman and appearing in Hollywood Mysteries and Scandals.
Directing & choreography
As a director and choreographer, Noel’s work has been recognized for both artistic excellence and compelling storytelling. Her credits include The All Night Strut, A Grand Night for Singing (L.A. Times “Recommended”), The World Goes ’Round (L.A. Times Critic’s Pick), A Shayna Maidel (Backstage West Critic’s Pick), Red Hot and Cole, Requiem for a Heavyweight (“Best Drama,” Los Angeles Theatre League), The Lion in Winter (“Best Director,” Los Angeles Theatre League), I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, The Taffetas, Godspell (CCT Nashville), and most recently directing Mary Poppins and Tuck Everlasting for CYT Nashville.
A teacher at heart
Passionate about developing the next generation of artists, Noel has been a private acting, dance, and vocal coach since 1999, mentoring students in Los Angeles and Nashville. She also served as Theatre Academy Chair at CHAMPS Charter High School for the Arts in Los Angeles, where she trained and inspired emerging performers. During her graduate studies in Theatre Directing at California State University, Northridge, her thesis, Teaching Director’s Intent Through Semiotic Literacy, explored how semiotic theory can help performers more fully understand and communicate a director’s artistic vision.
Today, Noel continues to direct, choreograph, teach, and mentor young artists across Middle Tennessee — combining professional excellence with a passion for developing performers of skill, character, and purpose.
